A single crystal of zircon, separed from the Contrà Cubi dyke (Staro, Vicenza), was dated by the U-Pb radiometric method, applying in Sensitive High mass Resolutuin Ion MicroProbe (SHRIMP) technique. U-Pb ages obteined vary from 50.2+/-2.6 to 52.5+/-2.3 Ma. The mean value of 51.0+/-1.5 is therefore considered the crystallisation age for the zircon, which can be also interpreted as the intrusion age of the Contrà Cubi dyke.
