In this work the digital implementation of an OFDM transmission system on a DSP board is presented. The system presented in this work follows the main specifications of the HIPERLAN/2 standard. The major objective of the work is to study the feasibility and the performance of the baseband functionalities of an OFDM system on a fixed-point DSP, in order to investigate the limiting aspects. In particular the joint performance of synchronization and equalization will be considered.
