The aim of this paper is to make a survey of the main moral themes in the Augustinian sermons discovered by François Dolbeau in Mainz in 1990. These themes are: 1) the solution of difficult cases of conjugal ethics; 2) the praise of the virtue of martyrs; 3) the description of man's true "good"; 4) the emphasis on the need to purify one's heart and behaviour.

Abstract
