It's known that a singular stress field develops at the corner where an interface between two bonded materials intersects a traction-free edge. Singularity arises booth from the combinrd different elastic properties and the presence of a V-shaped corner. The paper presents a method for the singular stress field description based on numerical solution of an ordinary differential equation (ODEs) system. An accurate description of the free-edge stress singularity needs, in general, a two terms stress expansion in which H0 and H1 are the intensity factors associated to the leading or the second order terms, respectively. the trend of H0, thought of as the main parameter controlling the fatigue crack initiation, is plotted against the geometrical parameters of the joints analysed herein
