Seven surfing tests in the form of live navigation in the web site prototype were applied. The participants were given 2 tasks to perform in the site (related to the goals of the site) and a free surfing session. This test underlined the functionality and difficulties in the use of the site, and it provided evidence to construct an easier, clearer and user friendly site before the on line publishing. Seven in-depth qualitative interviews in the way of “thinking aloud “ facilitated the emergence of spontaneous comments and evaluation of the project and of its content proposed in the site; the result has assisted in the understanding of the inner perception and desires of the typical potential user. We have integrated their impressions and advise to improve the system regarding graphics, navigation, content (especially for the participation section).
