This paper describes a fuzzy supervisory control system to be used on power flow management propulsion system of an electric vehicle (EV). The multi source system includes a fuel cell (FC) generator and a combined storage unit (CSU) composed by Supercapacitor modules (SC) and batteries (BT). A multiple input power electronic converter (MIPEC) is responsible for interfacing the DC common bus with each power supply. Each converter is controlled by classical regulators with the aim of regulate the sources current and to keep the DC link voltage of constant. The main goal of the fuzzy supervisory control system is to optimize the performance of each input source, by fitting the set points of MIPEC controllers from FC and BT converters. The proposed control system was applied on a 3 kW prototype. Simulation results are presented at the paper.
