'Behaviour', as Kelly said, is an experiment. Through our experiments, we construe the sense that allows us to move through our world and to carry out new experiments. Such experiences are neither physical nor mental, but a combination of defined discriminations. We, can simply be explained as systems in relation. Why, therefore in our job as psychologists, do we often behave as if the only useful dimension for change is the 'mental' one, defined and elaborated verbally? In this chapter, I explore how experiences commonly represented as physical can be used effectively to think up new, less traditional models for the therapy setting. Taking as a starting point some examples from dance therapy, I explore how the changes in a system can be described both in physical and in mental terms. In this way, I suggest a way to construct and reconstruct experience which can be used in research, trainig and therapy.
