In the present study, the effects of high temperatures on immune responses in the clam Chamelea gallina (Bivalvia: Veneridae) were evaluated. The results obtained revealed that exposure for 7 days to high temperatures (30°C) may induce immunomodulation in Chamelea gallina, increasing susceptibility of clams to both pathogens and other possible environmental stress conditions.
