The dimensionality of a preference matrix is analysed in the specific case of an incomplete matrix obtained after a tournament type of preference system is applied. This incomplete paired comparison technique requires just a few comparisons to be done and several data have to be estimated both through transition rules and dimensionality-preserving techniques.
