In this paper we analyze survival of farms in Regione Veneto (Italy). We use data coming from a new database which links information contained in the Official Registers of the Chamber of Commerce (REA archives) with that collected in the Agricultural Census. In the REA archives we can find survival histories, the Census contains information on socio-economic and structural characteristics of farms. We consider the farms newly registered in 1999 in REA archives and answering to the 2000 Census. We estimate survival probabilities with reference to the period 2000-2004.
