The present work is a review about Math Disabilities (MD) from two different point of views: the Italian and the American one. Our goal is to gain some consensus in the identification of cognitive deficits that underlie problems of MD as well as instructional approaches to remediate these deficit. This review try to highlight similarities and differences in the approach to math disabilities. However identifying MD and their cognitive mechanism are only just emerging and this work shows that there are many question opened in the field of math disabilities research.
