In the paper, the main experimental results of brick masonry panels strengthened with CFRP strips according to four strengthening configurations, strips inserted in each joint or every two joints, are presented. Moreover, for symmetrically strengthened panels, the numerical results of a detailed finite element model, which implement the essential inelastic material behaviours, are discussed. This model was used to investigate different strengthening configurations in order to obtain practical design information for the application of the abovementioned intervention technique.

Abstract
