Abstract
One of the most important problems to address in the study of a transport network is the assessment of its capacity, considered as a parameter to indicate the performance of the network. The present paper recalls a generalized concept of road network capacity (capacity function) that is not reliant on knowledge of the current traffic demand and the need to establish the growth trend beforehand. Two applicative examples, referred to priority intersections and roundabouts, are proposed.File in questo prodotto:
