A case study concerning the application of GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) laminates at the extrados of the vault of the Brenzoni’s Chapel in the Church of St Fermo in Verona (Italy) is presented. Before designing the intervention, the vault was inspected and surveyed. The design was based on analytical models calibrated on the experimental results of a laboratory research performed at the University of Padova in recent years. The main scope of the intervention was to re-establish the safety conditions of the vault. After a brief description of the church and the damaged vault, some of the main aspects concerning design, assessment, and execution phases of the intervention are described.

Abstract
A case study concerning the application of GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) laminates at the extrados of the vault of the Brenzoni’s Chapel in the Church of St Fermo in Verona (Italy) is presented. Before designing the intervention, the vault was inspected and surveyed. The design was based on analytical models calibrated on the experimental results of a laboratory research performed at the University of Padova in recent years. The main scope of the intervention was to re-establish the safety conditions of the vault. After a brief description of the church and the damaged vault, some of the main aspects concerning design, assessment, and execution phases of the intervention are described.Pubblicazioni consigliate
