We consider a strictly hyperbolic system of conservation laws in one space dimension on the bounded interval $[0,1]$. Assuming that the boundaries at $x=0$ and $x=1$ are non characteristic, we establish a general result on the asymptotic stabilization near an equilibrium state by means of controls acting only at $x=1$.
