The paper discusses the uncertainty associated to power measurements performed via swept-tuned spectrum analyzers. The analysis deals with channel power technique and provides practical guidelines for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty according to the "Guide to the Expression of Uncertainties in Measurement". Meaningful experimental results are reported and commented. Practical hints for the optimization of the spectrum analyzer setup and the reduction of uncertainty are also discussed
