This paper deals with the first results obtained from experimental tests carried out at the University of Padova on masonry panels. The main aim is the characterization of the failure domain under biaxial load of masonry material. Such a failure domain has to be used in the numerical orthotropic damage model developed by the authors. The tests concern masonry panel with five different inclination of bed joints with respect to the loading direction.
