in this paper we propose and compare three methods, based on transitivity principle, aimed to estimate a complete dominance matrix starting from an incomplete one. Proportional transitivity is the best method, that gives results very close to the observed dominance matrix. We suggest that this method should be used when it is not possible to gather all the preferences.
