The performance of an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system for WLANs (Wireless Local Area Networks) are investigated by simulation. In particular, symbol timing, frequency offset and channel estimation have been evaluated jointly. For symbol timing, the Schmidl and Cox method is used, while channel estimation is based on an LS (Least Squares) estimator. The simulation results confirm the goodness of the above algorithms.

Abstract
