In the last decades, more attention has been paid to the integration of economic, social, environmental and technological aspects in different “sustainable” business. The present paper deals with the design of a spare parts logistics considering sustainable aspects. Many scientific contributions have studied this issue with different approaches, but none takes into consideration its sustainability side. The purpose of this paper is to introduce an analytical model to locate a set of stocking facilities (called local warehouse) to allocate costumer demands to these located open facilities and to determine stock level, applying a sustainable approach. Several considerations have been made about the environmental impacts of the main factors, influencing sustainability in logistic networks like transportation, stocking and endof- life products’ destinations. The behaviour of the model is investigated varying the main sustainability factors, in order to give general considerations about the sustainable spare parts logistics design. A real application helps to understand the key role of sustainability in new logistics design and configuration.

Abstract
A real application helps to understand the key role of sustainability in new logistics design and configuration.Pubblicazioni consigliate
