This contribution analyses graduates’ satisfaction with university courses. This evaluation, synthesised by a stated will of repeating the same study choices, is analysed according to two approaches: first, graduates are defined as “customers” who express their degree of satisfaction with an enjoyed service; secondly, we focus on the cognitive process which leads graduates to interpret their university experience on the basis of their present situation and future prospects. The analyses show that the graduates’ global evaluation starts with a mere judgment of the university experience (people, facilities, performance) and gets more and more complex as this experience is faced with the labour market needs, while the graduate’s attention moves from services’ use to the creation of future opportunities.
