General Practitioners (GPs) are doctors that provide primary health care individually to each of their patients and their families, irrespective of age, sex and type of illness, directng them, if necessary, to the appropiate consultant or healthcare facility for further care. GPs play a key role in primary carwe, with a broad-ranging knowledge of the health service, and they can provide an important contribution to research in the Public health sector. This questionnaire-based survey has been conducted with the objectiveof finding out what GPs thionk about several aspects of primary care, such as: the quality of services delivered, relations between GPs and their patients and consultants, bureaucraticworkload.
