The basic properties of chains of partitions in the multiparticle scattering problem are thoroughly investigated. These properties allow for a direct attack to the N-body problem with all the relevant quantities explicitly defined for an arbitrary number of particles. Starting from the simplest properties for pairs or terns of partitions, we pass to chains of partitions linked by conjunction and disjunction relations. Several examples of applications of these properties are given.

Abstract
The basic properties of chains of partitions in the multiparticle scattering problem are thoroughly investigated. These properties allow for a direct attack to the N-body problem with all the relevant quantities explicitly defined for an arbitrary number of particles. Starting from the simplest properties for pairs or terns of partitions, we pass to chains of partitions linked by conjunction and disjunction relations. Several examples of applications of these properties are given.File in questo prodotto:
