Spectra emitted by laser produced plasmas of light elements whenb observed with spatial resolution show the H-likeLyman lines strongly broadened and asymmetrically self-absorbed. The case of some lines of BV is analyzed in detail. Temperature density and size of the plasma have been derived. A model of the emitting plasma has been devised.
