A user's interface for connection to a public packet switching network is described. This is based on a VLSI device (Western Digital WD 2511) operating in accordance with level 2 of CCITT recommendation X.25. The hardware configuration and the associated software programs allow easy and flexible operation of the system in connection with several types of peripherals and computers.
