Abstract
The first approaches to variational geometry methodologies were proposed more than ten years ago, but only recently such techniques have been implemented in commercial Mechanical Com¬puter Aided Engineering (MCAE) systems. The variational geometry method may actually con¬tribute to the innovation of many aspects of the design process ranging from the prelimi¬nary/conceptual phases to the preparation of the manufacturing drawings. Aim of the present work is to investigate such innovations from a practical point of view, evaluating the actual suit¬ability of the current implementations in MCAE systems.File in questo prodotto:
