This paper presents the results of a survey carried out in 2009 and 2010, of data collected on disabled students who graduated at the University of Padua from 2004 to 2008. The aim of the study was to gain information on their status during their university career and, once they had graduated, whether and how they differed with respect to job itineraries of the “ordinary” graduates. The survey may be considered as part of research on the employment and professional development of University of Padua graduates. Our analyses show that disabled persons are particular both because they require specific services as students, and because they follow particular itineraries in the labour market and use their competencies at work in a slightly different way from other graduates.
