Abstract

Multinucleon transfer reactions with Ca-40 beams on closed shell nuclei Zr-96 and Pb-208 at energies close to the Coulomb barrier were studied using magnetic spectrometers. The comparison between data and calculations, based on semiclassical models, allowed to identify the different degrees of freedom that influence the evolution of the reaction, like deformation, single, and pair transfer modes.
