The evaluation of the technological, environmental and functional quality of buildings is complicated by the awareness of the presence of sources of different types pollution which bring about a state of decay in the buildings, as well as a more or less defined condition of discomfort amongst users. The research group has done a study of the interdepartmental "A. Vallisneri" building at University of Padua. The method developed for the evaluation of the building allowed for a quality check and an evaluation of its level of efficiency, comparing the actual conditions, in percentage terms, with the performance specifications at the design stage.
