Abstract

This work summarises a study which was performed by a work group over the past few years. The study has to do with the application of methodology for the collection and interpretation of information on ecclesiastical architectural structures. The goal of the methodology is the conservation in service of these structures, with particular emphasis on the need for managing structures that are currently in use. The study analyses individual buildings in the broader context of an area of territorial size, a formulation which is based on the concept of a culturally important building/structure as being "everithing that represents materials evidence of civilisation value".
