This paper presents the preliminary results of the archaeometrical analysis on 13 loom-weights from some pre-historical and sites (Mariconda di Melara, Frattesina, Villamarzana, Adria and Oppeano), date from the final Bronze age to the second Iron age, located in the southern ancient Venetia (north-eastern Italy), the south-eastern part of the subsequent Roman times Cisalpine. The minero-petrographic analysis was addressed to the compositional characterization of these materials, as well as to the identification of provenance markers to use to constrain local productions. The research has put the bases for the setting up of minero-petrographic database on these type of ceramic class, to be extended to other contemporaneous as well as Roma times sites

Abstract
This paper presents the preliminary results of the archaeometrical analysis on 13 loom-weights from some pre-historical and sites (Mariconda di Melara, Frattesina, Villamarzana, Adria and Oppeano), date from the final Bronze age to the second Iron age, located in the southern ancient Venetia (north-eastern Italy), the south-eastern part of the subsequent Roman times Cisalpine. The minero-petrographic analysis was addressed to the compositional characterization of these materials, as well as to the identification of provenance markers to use to constrain local productions. The research has put the bases for the setting up of minero-petrographic database on these type of ceramic class, to be extended to other contemporaneous as well as Roma times sitesPubblicazioni consigliate
