Findings from the excavation of three churches, the stratigraphy of still upright buildings, epigraphs and liturgical pieces of furniture, places of worship constructed in connection to Roman agricultural holdings made it possible to reconstruct a rather detailed picture of Christianization in the area bordering Lake Garda. Churches with baptisteries, funerary churches and hermitages became reference points for settlements undergoing a deep transformation.
