The study aimed a better understanding the different effects of the use of multimedia (Mayer, 2005) in the teching/learning process, comparing, in this case, Powerpoint, to Digital Storytelling, in which there is a strong narrative component. The research made use of a pre-questionnaire to detect the children conceptions on math; experimented different methods of teaching math in the classroom; prepared a verification test to determine the best way of teaching (among digital storytelling, power point and traditional lecture); and, finally, we delivered a post-questionnaire for children in order to study their perceptions of the effectiveness of each type of educational strategy in which they were involved.

Abstract
The study aimed a better understanding the different effects of the use of multimedia (Mayer, 2005) in the teching/learning process, comparing, in this case, Powerpoint, to Digital Storytelling, in which there is a strong narrative component. The research made use of a pre-questionnaire to detect the children conceptions on math; experimented different methods of teaching math in the classroom; prepared a verification test to determine the best way of teaching (among digital storytelling, power point and traditional lecture); and, finally, we delivered a post-questionnaire for children in order to study their perceptions of the effectiveness of each type of educational strategy in which they were involved.Pubblicazioni consigliate
