From a team-work between the Chemical Department of University “La Sapienza” of Rome and the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome has been possible to realize some complex archaeometrical analysis on a group of samples of renaissance majolica and on four samples of clay from probable quarry in the neighbourhood of Rome. The finality of the research is to understand if these different types of majolica productions with different decoration were made in the Roman area or were imported from other Italian centres.
