Abstract
The Catholic Church is just one of them Christian churches operating in the Islamic world, along with the Orthodox and Protestant which may poursue less conciliatory lines andnless global strategies than the Roman one. In addition, each opening must be measured against the dynamics of the other side, the Muslim, in a stage where hegemony is in the hands of Islamist movements and parties that see the Christians, to varying degrees, as obstacles to their project of “religious State”. The centrality taken by Political Islam has transformed religious issues into political ones. Overlap that represents a weakness for Christians. The attitude of the Muslim world is also con- ditioned by the judgment, not too favorable to the Arab Spring, expres- sed so far by the leadership of the Christian minorities. The dialogue between Christianity and Islam must thus be verified in the light of the great political change that has involved some Arab countries, especially Egypt, Syria, Libya.Pubblicazioni consigliate
