The Port of Venice, which is a great economic reality for the city itself, in the last years has registered a continuous increasing of cruise ships and ferries. The Port activities have produced a direct economic advantage but also some collateral damages. Between these noise pollution represents a not negligible impact that may affect not only the Port area but also the near residential areas. The aim of this work is to investigate the noise sources which are in the tourist port area of Venice, with particular interest to the noise generated by cruise ships and ferries moored at the piers.
