Culture e pratiche della ricerca in Italia da Gioacchino Volpe a Federico Chabod, 2012 , Dr. Angelini has analysed on the creation of a commune culture amongst a group of modern and contemporary historians during the inter-war period, focusing in particular on the institutional and scientific environment in which Gioacchino Volpe, as a master, and Federico Chabod, as his young scholars worked in Italy and in Europe. She has analysed the ways in which different historians faced Fascism, the war and the fall of the Fascist regime through their public and private sources. This permitted to read this moment from the dual focal point of individual and collective dynamics, and to demonstrate how the experience of fascism and war marked some historians very deeply and, therefore, affected their way of thinking about history and in this field after 1945.
