The paper deals with the issue of disused industrial districts, focusing on some areas in the borough of Ala, in the province of Trento, Italy. Architectural, urban and landscape design are topical in the presented methodological approach. Some project carried out in a architecture design course at the Univerity of Trento are presented in the paper.
