The contribution addresses the overlap between the legal and the ethical strands in the regulation of emerging technologies, namely of nanotechnologies. After having reconstructed the criticisms to this trend in terms of "ethicisation of science" and "bureaucratisation of ethics", the author argues for the internormativity that is fostered by such a mix.
