Abstract

This work proposes the use of H-matrices with Adaptive Cross Approximation for the solution of very large sparse/dense block linear systems. Such matrices are typically generated by hybrid differential/integral formulations applied to bioelectromagnetic problems which make use of large scale human models. An example of application related to magnetic resonance imaging dosimetry is presented to illustrate the usefulness of the method.
