The research proposes a framework for the evaluation of participation of local actors in rural tourism projects, based on indexes of participation by input, process, output and outcome. The evaluation framework is applied to two projects of rural tourism in the Veneto Region (Italy) and proposes useful insights and results in terms of trust and efficiency.

Abstract
