La democrazia radicale dell'art. 1

The article focuses on the article 1 of the Constitution of Italy, especially on the notions of people and popular sovereignty. The Constitution of Italy seems radically innovate the traditional concept of people: traditionally it shall have a unitary character, in the Constitution it is designed as multifaceted and complex instead. This means that many are the holders of the sovereignty and that the souvereign decision is only the final result and the compromise of the multiple wills of the social players. This means instead that the option to exercise the right to resistence at any rate remain open and that the costitutional process never ends. Therein seems lie the radically democratic character of the italian Constitution.
