Armenia, like the whole Caucasus, is one of the most intense seismic area of the planet. This thesis focused on the different processes of risk management in the country, focusing mainly on the seismic hazard. We sought to understand at first the existing link between populations and seismic risk, and then focus on the different actors, governmental or not, participating in this process. Secondly we studied the crisis management proposed by the Armenian government. Thirdly, through a study of resilience, we tried to understand if the Armenian people and facilities in the territory are prepared to face this type of disaster. Finally, in a regional scale, we tried to understand how the South-Caucasus countries interact in case of natural disaster.
