The study focuses in particular on the territory between the Aurès massif towards Biskra area and its oases, Batna and the National Park of Belezma, in the north-eastern part of the present-day Algeria. What emerges is a sufficiently precise picture of the techniques put in place by the ancients to ensure water supply to human communities: from large cities, such as Timgad and Lambesi, to minor settlements, including rural ones that were present in the whole territory, transformed and irrigated to make large areas of cultivated land productive.

Abstract
The study focuses in particular on the territory between the Aurès massif towards Biskra area and its oases, Batna and the National Park of Belezma, in the north-eastern part of the present-day Algeria. What emerges is a sufficiently precise picture of the techniques put in place by the ancients to ensure water supply to human communities: from large cities, such as Timgad and Lambesi, to minor settlements, including rural ones that were present in the whole territory, transformed and irrigated to make large areas of cultivated land productive.File in questo prodotto:
