Abstract

A novel iterative procedure for a fast solution of time–harmonic eddy–current problems with an unbounded air domain is presented. It combines a hybrid approach based on Cell Method (CM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM) with a hierarchical (H–) matrix compression technique based on Adaptive Cross Approximation (ACA) in order to reduce memory requirements and speed–up TFQMR solver iterations.
