This paper comes from a collaboration between the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padova and the Italian Transmission System Operator (Terna S.p.A.). The purpose of this cooperation is demonstrating the strength of an original algorithm developed in Padova in 2001 [1] for computing the power flow solution of the Italian transmission network in real operative scenarios. Therefore, results, analyses and extensive comparisons with the benchmark software DIgSILENT PowerFactory are shown.

Abstract
This paper comes from a collaboration between the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padova and the Italian Transmission System Operator (Terna S.p.A.). The purpose of this cooperation is demonstrating the strength of an original algorithm developed in Padova in 2001 [1] for computing the power flow solution of the Italian transmission network in real operative scenarios. Therefore, results, analyses and extensive comparisons with the benchmark software DIgSILENT PowerFactory are shown.File in questo prodotto:
