Paure Infantili: autovalutazioni del bambino e aspettative materne a confronto. Uno studio longitudinale con bambini e adolescenti dai 6 ai 14 anni.

This research had a longitudinal design and examined childhood fears in a sample of Italian children attending the primary school, from the 1st to the 5th grade at the inception, and from the 4th of primary school to the 3rd of secondary school (M=11.45; SD=1.364) at the follow-up. Children (time 1, N=368; time 2, N=174) assessed their own fears through the FSSCR (Ollendick, 1983, Ollendick et al., 1990, Yule et al., 1991) and their mothers (time 1, N= 321; time 2= N=123) assessed their children's fears with the same instrument. In addition, mothers assessed their own fears with FSS-III (Wolpe and Lang, 1968) and their level of anxiety with the State and Trait Anxiety Inventory (Spilberger, 1978).
