This paper examines the role of ludolinguistics in VoIP-technology (Skype) by analyzing a case study which involved 20 Russian-speaking learners of Italian as a Foreign Language. All the information provided is based on data collected through the researcher’s observation and administration of a semi-structured questionnaire and ludic activities to students taking part in the project. Moreover, the paper considers the motivational impact of e-learning on Russian native speakers, due to their attitude towards errors, mistakes, and creativity.
