Gli effetti della rottura del matrimonio. Un'indagine esplorativa presso un'associazione di separati.

A questionnaire was prepared with the aim to conduct a longitudinal survey on the changes ad the consequences which follow the dissolution of marriage; it was proposed to some members of an association of separated and divorced people, during a meeting of the society, and to some other people, separated or divorced too. The interviewed were 54 men and 18 women. On the average, they were 48 years old, they were separated by 8 years, after 14 years of marriage; their level of education was higher than the mean of Italian divorced and separated people. After some information on the procedure and the cost of the legal action, we asked other information about the children granting and the house assignment, and about the relations with their children, their parents and their friends, and possible variations after the separation. Finally, other information concerned the job before marriage and possible variations after marriage and after separation, the income, the changing of house after separation and the present arrangement. Then they were asked about their social relations before marriage, during marriage and after separation: the attendance to sport activity, to theatre and cinema, to pubs and bars, the participation to social, political or religious associations.
