There are places increasingly famous and places that are increasingly forgotten, depopulated, aged. It is a silent fragility that describes a physical and moral phe- nomenon. They are places that are lost because their narration is confused. They needs a line that reorders, narrates and reconstructs a possible story. The food of these places represents an intangible heritage at risk, with an unexplored economic potential and strictly de- pendent on the narrative dimension of the territory in which they were born and evolved. A territory project tells about food and beauty of these places with a single line. VENTO is a project that, through a 680 km cycle path that joins Venice to Turin, crosses areas rich in food heritage: 10,000 farms, landscapes, artifacts, products, recipes, flavors, traditions and memories. The paper presents some critical reflections born with VENTO on the relationship between territories, food and identity.
